Ways to Maintenance to Your Colour Wrap, Paint Protection Film (PPF) or Window Tint
Maintenance of Colour Wrap/Vinyl Wrap
Vehicle wraps should not be installed and neglected. Just like the rest of your vehicle, regular cleaning and maintenance are essential for your vehicle wrap. To maintain vibrant color and ensure longevity, wash your wrap frequently and shield your vehicle from potential pollutants. This upkeep is crucial for protecting your vehicle wrap.
After the installation, DO NOT WASH your vehicle in the next 7-10 days as this allow the film to fully adhered to the surface well.
How frequently should I clean my vehicle wrap?
It is recommended to hand wash your wrap car once every two weeks or more often if your vehicle is exposed to a lot of dirt or pollutants. Always used a neutral pH car wash shampoo and always stay away from harsh chemical solution containing such as oil-based cleaners, kitchen & bathroom cleaners, oven cleaner, engine degreaser and solvents.
STAY AWAY from abrasive polishes and detergents or cutting compounds. DO NOT USE polishing or wax products on matte or textured filmed. Avoid brush car washes as they may cause the wrap to fade or scratch and could lift the edge of film. It is not recommended to use pressure wash on wrap car as it might cause the edge to lift.
Is it safe to take my wrapped vehicle through a drive-through car wash?
Similar to pressure wash, it is not recommended to bring wrapped vehicle to an automated brush or brushless car wash as the washes may be too rough on the film that can cause color degradation or peeling or lifting edges.
What to use for spot cleaning for insects, bird droppings, tree sap or other difficult stain?
Don’t leave them on the wrap for too long as it can damage the film, it is best to clean bird droppings or other stains immediately by using pH neutral car shampoo on the stain rinse the area with water and dry it a microfiber towel.
Is it okay to park my vehicle outdoors?
Extended exposure to sunlight and outdoor elements such as rain, smog, debris, and road pollutants can deteriorate the wrap on horizontal surfaces like the roof, trunk lid, and hood. These areas attract pollutants, which are exacerbated by UV ray exposure. Whenever possible, park your car in a garage or under a canopy. If outdoor parking is necessary for an extended period, choose shaded areas to minimize exposure.
Care for Paint Protection Film (PPF)
Similarly to vehicle wraps, paint protection film (PPF) should not be installed and neglected. Just like the rest of your vehicle, it needs regular attention and upkeep to ensure sufficient protection while maintaining its subtle appearance. Fortunately, this maintenance is more forgiving of busy schedules and lack of car care compared to bare automotive paint.
After the installation, it takes about 20-30 days for the curing process for the PPF to adhered well to the surface. At this time, DO NOT WASH your vehicle, DO NOT PRESS on any bubbles formed under the film as we use soapy solution to install the film, so it takes time for the water to evaporate for the curing to proceed. Water bubbles would dissipate within 2-4 weeks after the installation as PPF film is porous.
DO NOT WAX your car after the PPF installation as moisture could still trap between the paint surface and the paint protection film yet to settled and is still evaporating.
If possible do not drive your car for the 1st week after installation as this reduces any chance of messing up the healing process.

Apply wax that is safe to PPF every 3 to 6 months to help maintain the film’s glossy appearance. This products also provide an extra layer of protection against contaminants. It is recommended to hand-wax and avoid polishing equipment on the PPF. It is not recommended to wax products on matte filmed PPF.

How to handle light scratches on PPF?
Most of the PPF film comes with self-healing property, not only it will protect your paint but it will self heal itself for light scratches. If you want to remove a scratch on your paint protection film, simply park your vehicle in direct sunlight for 25-30 minutes. The heat from the sun will prompt the PPF to revert to its original form and repair any scratches. Alternatively, you can pour 60 degree celcius hot water over the scratch to expedite this process. This method is particularly useful on cold days when sunlight alone may not be sufficient to activate the self-healing properties of your paint protection film.
